Here’s a delicious recipe of mutton/beef pepper fry which compliments amazingly as a starter for your wholesome Sunday lunch or dinner.

Mutton/Beef pepper fry recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg mutton/beef
  • 4 Big onions
  • 1 tbsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 Green Chillies (sliced slant)
  • 2 inch Ginger (Chopped finely)
  • 10 Garlic cloves (Chopped finely)
  • 1 Small bunch Coriander leaves
  • 3 tbsp Ghee/oil
  • 1 Lime (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Cut the meat into pieces. Cook soft with salt. Make sure to not throw the water/soup after cooking.
  • Keep a pan, add 2 tbsp ghee/oil, add the meat pieces and fry till golden brown. Transfer this into a wok.
  • Add pepper powder, turmeric powder, jeera powder and soya sauce, mix well.
  • Add 1/4 cup of the water/soup from cooking the meat and cook for 3 minutes on a medium flame.
  • Keep a pan and add 1 tbsp ghee and sliced chillies, chopped ginger, garlic and fry for a minute on a medium flame. Add sliced onions and fry till translucent. Add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Add this to the meat and mix well.
  • Add salt and lime/vinegar as per taste.
  • Serve hot.

NOTE:

You can make this dish dry and serve as a side dish or you can make it wet and can be served with chapatis, rotis or panpales.
