FISH CHILLI RECIPE

This fish chilli recipe is all you need to cook a delicious lipsmacking fish chilli dish. Best to be paired with noodles or fried rice. So let’s get on with the recipe.

Fish Chilli Recipe

Servings 3 People

Ingredients
  

Fish

  • 500 g King Fish/Barramundi Fish

For marination:

  • 1 tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 tbsp Maida
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • Water

Others:

  • 3 Onions
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 2 Cloves garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Red chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp Green chilli sauce
  • Cornflour in water

Instructions
 

  • Cut the fish into cubes.
  • Prepare a paste using the marination ingredients and marinate the fish for 1 hour.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan. Deep fry the fish and keep it aside.
  • Take some oil in a pan and add 3 small finely chopped onions and fry till the onions turn light brown.
  • Add finely chopped green chilli, chopped capsicum, garlic cloves, ginger, all finely chopped. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce, red chilly sauce and green chilly sauce.
  • Add cornflour mixed in water and add it to the pan and bring it to a boil.
  • When the gravy thickens, add fried fish pieces and fry for 2-3 minutes
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.

Note:

  • Any fish with no bones may be used for this fish chilli dish but preferably use king fish.
