Wordanova’s 1st Birthday

Firstly, I would thank all our viewers for supporting us through our journey in Wordanova. Yesterday, the 1st of December, Wordanova turned 1. It was also World AIDS day.

We, a group of 7, visited an orphanage for children with AIDS called the ‘Desire Society’ in Bangalore on the occasion of Wordanova turning 1. We collected a wholehearted donation of a total ₹9647.

We spent about 2-3 hours with the children, it was just so magical to see how happy they are and so full of life. when we entered, they greeted us with a curve of everlasting smile saying ‘ Hi brother, Hi sister’ in a wonderful tune.

We cut the cake and distributed the cake along with an electroyte drink to each of them after which, we went outdoor to play games, we played bombing the city. One of the members of our group taught them to make rockets and it was wonderful to see how happy they were. We also taught them origami- to make a box and even a fish out of paper. We distributed dry fruits. We also gave tonics worth Rs 4130 and fruits for each one which was put in a carton. We also donated in cash. We clicked a group picture and then finally, it was the hardest part. The goodbye phase! It was a mixture of emotions and I wouldn’t have asked for a better day and a better way to celebrate Wordanova’s first birthday. If you have a birthday to celebrate or anniversary,  you can always spread your joy and love here at the ‘Desire Society’, Jp Nagar, Bangalore.
