We are glad to say that we visited a very humble home and the kindest person at Snehadeep, Mangalore. ‘Snehadeep’ was established in the year 2011. It is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation (NGO) functioning with the aim of healthy development and well being of the girl children with AIDS/ HIV.
Thabassum takes care of 26 girls with AIDS. The girls study at schools close to the centre. She has rented a house in Kottara cross, Mangalore to caress the lives of these children ranging from 4-18 years old from all religions. A child’s monthly expense is about Rs 3750. She needs a minimum of Rs 90,000 every month to look after these girls and at present, there is no fixed income nor donors to run this centre at ease. With the help of good deeds of a few people, the centre is being run with difficulty.
We from Wordanova bought items like rice, sunflower oil, coconut oil, soaps, washing powder, toothpaste, toothbrushes, coconuts, green gram, chillies, mustard seeds, turmeric etc to help them with their monthly need. We thank our sponsors with a grateful heart.
Selfless service by Thabassum has really made a huge difference in the lives of those girls. Let us spread the word of this kind and extraordinary initiative and do our bit to support them. All your contributions will be welcomed wholeheartedly by the organisation. Now, it’s our turn to help them to save and nurture lives.
