MUTTON GREEN MASALA STEW RECIPE
Mutton green masala stew Mangalorean style is all you need to have a wholesome lunch with your fam. This curry is simply delicious and tastes amazing when paired up with neerdosas/panpoles.

Mutton Green Masala Stew recipe
Ingredients
Masala ingredients:
- 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 8 tbsp Grated coconut
- 1/2 tsp Jeera/cumin seeds
- 1/4 inch Cinnamon
- 1 Clove
- 1/4 tsp Saunf/Fennel seeds(Optional)
- 20 Peppercorns
- 3 Green Chillies
- 5 Flakes garlic
- 1 Marble sized Tamarind
- 1/2 Medium onion
- 1 Bunch Coriander leaves
- 1 Cardamom
- 1/4 inch Ginger
Others:
- 1 kg Mutton
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 4 tbsp Ghee/coconut oil
- Salt (As required)
- Potatoes (Optional)
- 1/2 Sliced onion
Instructions
- Fry the above masala ingredients. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and grind all the masala into a fine paste.
- Cook the mutton soft and keep the soup separate.
- Keep a vessel, add 2 tbsp ghee, fry the masala for 3 minutes.
- Add 1/2 cup Masala water and the mutton soup. Bring it to a good boil and add the required salt.
- Add mutton and let it boil.
- Add cubes of boiled potatoes(Optional). Switch off the gas.
- Keep a seasoning pan, put 2 tbsp ghee, add 1/2 sliced onion and fry till golden brown. Add this to the curry.
- Close the lid. Serve hot with neerdosas/panpoles.
