Dalgona coffee is trending at such a great deal. It has a fluffy layer on top with chilled milk below it. This coffee is not just delicious but is easy to make too. Furthermore, I’m sure a question arises in all of your minds wondering ‘How Dalgona coffee became so popular?’ because this question popped up in my head too.

The trend began on TikTok, with the hashtag #DalgonaCoffee making over 10 million views. Afterwhich, coffee loves united to create this exquisite coffee on TikTok, Youtube and Instagram. Dalgona coffee origins from India, Pakistan and Macau. But the trigger in popularity started in January through a Korean TV show called Pyunstorang. In this show, actor Jung Il-Woo travelled to Macau, tasted the drink, and gave it the nickname dalgona for its resemblance to the traditional Korean sponge candy which is called as dalgona.

Dalgona Coffee Recipe : The Most Trending Coffee during Quarantine

Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 1

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Instant coffee powder
  • 2 tbsp Hot Water
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup Chilled milk
  • Ice cubes (Optional)

Instructions
 

  • Add instant coffee powder and sugar in a bowl.
  • Add 2 tbsp Hot water and beat the coffee and sugar vigorously till it's light and fluffy.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes. (Optional)
  • Pour milk on top. Top the glass with whipped coffee.
  • Put a little choco powder on top.
  • Your delicious Dalgona coffee is now ready, serve it chilled.
