CHICKEN GREEN KADAI RECIPE
Delicious chicken infused with coriander and cashew nut delight and voila! Here’s our chicken green kadai.
This chicken green kadai recipe by Pearl Fernandes is extremely easy just like all her other recipes. This is an easy, quick and tasty chicken curry dish to devour with your rotis/ rice.
Note: You can also use oil instead of ghee.
Chicken Green Kadai
Ingredients
For the masala:
- 1 Kg Chicken
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves
- 3 tbsp Cashew nuts
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 2 tsp Saunf/fennel seeds
- 5 Green chillies
- 10 Peppercorns
- 1 tsp couscous
- 1 Marble sized tamarind
Others:
- 5 tbsp Ghee
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 6 Garlic cloves (chopped)
- Salt (As required)
- 1/2 Cup Water
Instructions
- Grind the above masala ingredients into a paste.
- Add one tbsp ghee to the kadai.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, fry a little, add chicken and fry till light brown.
- Add salt and above masala and 4 tbsp ghee, fry well with medium flame.
- Add 1/2 cup water, close the lid and cook the chicken. Stir in between.
- When the ghee is separated from masala, dish is done. You can make it dry or little wettish .
- Serve with panpales, chapatis or rotis.
