Chicken Green Kadai

Ingredients
  

For the masala:

  • 1 Kg Chicken
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves
  • 3 tbsp Cashew nuts
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Saunf/fennel seeds
  • 5 Green chillies
  • 10 Peppercorns
  • 1 tsp couscous
  • 1 Marble sized tamarind

Others:

  • 5 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 6 Garlic cloves (chopped)
  • Salt (As required)
  • 1/2 Cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Grind the above masala ingredients into a paste.
  • Add one tbsp ghee to the kadai.
  • Add chopped onion and garlic, fry a little, add chicken and fry till light brown.
  • Add salt and above masala and 4 tbsp ghee, fry well with medium flame.
  • Add 1/2 cup water, close the lid and cook the chicken. Stir in between.
  • When the ghee is separated from masala, dish is done. You can make it dry or little wettish .
  • Serve with panpales, chapatis or rotis.
