THE ONLY ATTIRE THAT TAKES THE SHAPE OF THE WOMAN WHO WEARS IT !

Happy Wednesday loves! So for those of you who do not know, I’m an engineering student currently pursuing my studies at BMSCE, Bangalore. We had our Ethnic day on this Monday and I’m so excited to share my look with you guys and hopefully help a few of you’ll with some tips.

“Dress shabbily and they remember the dress. Dress impeccably and they remember the woman.”

-Coco Chanel

Yes ladies, you can never go wrong with that beautiful piece of clothing, de Saree which has been a magnificent asset of Indian culture for centuries together.

So I’ve paired this cotton silk saree with a brocade blouse, which is usually a good combination as it complements such saree’s with its golden woven threads. Since the saree is double shaded in pink and orange, I opted for a green blouse for a contrast, you could even go with a pink blouse. Yellow-red, white-red, mustard-black are a few other good contrast shades when you opt for a saree.

As I’ve draped the saree, south-Indian style, I couldn’t resist wearing these Jasmine flowers with their mesmerizing fragrance. This fragrance is also known to reduce nervousness and calm the brain according to Ayurveda.

There is no way you could close any Ethnic look without those JHUMKAS and CHUDIYAN!! There is no word called extra when it comes to ethnic, you can go crazy with your accessories that best define you and your style.

Here are a few tips for all you beautiful women:

  • If it is a cotton or a cotton silk saree or any non-flowy saree for that matter, make sure you pin the pleats down of your Pallo well in time and press it. This will keep your Pallo intact and prevent your saree from being a mess.
  • Always wear your Heels well before you begin draping the saree. It’ll help you get just the right length of a saree, the one that’ll save you from all that fumbling.
  • Try to opt for a sling comparative to a clutch. You’ll have your hands free as you can hold your pleats when needed.
  • Always kick the pleats while you walk.

It won’t do any justice if I put a get the look at for this post, as I myself picked this one from my mom’s wardrobe and I couldn’t be any happier to second her sarees. So go ahead, dig in through your mom ‘s wardrobes and find you perfect match.
