Dahi means ‘curd’ and bhalla is a snack originating in India and Pakistan. It is sold in chaat shops all around the Indian subcontinent. This delicious curd dish is a perfect summer dish, which is a fusion of spicy green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney. Dahi Bhalle Recipe
Ingredients
- 100 gms Black gram Skinless
- 250 ml Yogurt
- 25 gms Raisins
- 15 gms Ginger Chopped
- 2 Green Chillies
- 2 tbsp Gram flour
- Rock salt As per taste
- Sugar As per taste
- 1 tbsp Green Chutney
- 1/2 tbsp Cumin powder Roasted
- 25 gms Fresh coriander leaves
- Sweet chutney As required
- 100 ml Oil For topping
- 30 gms Carrot
- 30 gms Potato skin
- 30 gms Spinach
- 20 gms Onion ring
- 30 gms Micro greens
Instructions
Method
- Wash and soak black dal in water for 30-45 minutes.
- Grind dal to a smooth paste. Add salt, raisins, ginger, green chillies and gram flour to the batter and whisk for 10 minutes.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop batter in tablespoonfuls in it and fry until light golden. Drain the bhallas and soak them in sufficient quantity of water. Leave for two minutes. Squeeze between your palms to drain out water.
- Whisk yogurt well with rock salt and sugar to taste.
For Topping
- Cut the vegetables. Dust it with the seasoned flour.
- Fry them in a hot oil.
