Mango Curry Recipe - Mangalorean Style

Ingredients
  

Mango

  • 8 Ripe Curry Mangoes (Preferably Sakri guthli)

For curry:

  • 1 tbsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric/haldi powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera/cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Jaggery

For Seasoning:

  • 1 tsp Coconut oil
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 Red long chilli
  • Few Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Remove the skin of the mangoes and keep it aside.
  • In a vessel, pour 3 cups of water and add the mangoes. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, pepper powder and salt and boil it well for 15 minutes on a medium flame.
  • Stir in between. Add jaggery, boil it on a low flame for another 5 minutes and switch off the gas.
  • For seasoning, keep a pan on the fire, add 1 tsp coconut oil and add mustard seeds. Cut red long chilli. Add this along with few curry leaves to the pan. Add this seasoning to the curry.
  • Serve hot with rice
