Grind the grated coconut, red chillies, peppercorn, turmeric, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, one small ball tamarind and 1/2 onion into a paste.
Cut the ash gourd and add the masala to it.
Boil the Ash gourd with masala, add 1/2 cup of water add salt as required.
After Ashgourd is cooked, add the prawns.
Bring it to a boil and switch off the flame.
In a pan, put 1tbsp of coconut oil, fry 1/2 onion to a golden brown colour and season the curry.
Your Prawn Kuvalo Curry is now ready to be served. It can be served with boiled (red) rice.
