Lady Fish/ Kane Jeere miri Curry Recipe

Ingredients
  

Fish

  • 10 Kane/Lady Fish (Clean and cut)

For the masala:

  • 8 Kumti long red chillies
  • 1 1/2 tsp Jeera/cumin seeds
  • 6 Peppercorns
  • 1 Marble sized Tamarind
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 Medium sized Onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves

Others

  • 1 Small onion
  • 3 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp Coconut milk
  • Salt (as per taste)

Instructions
 

  • Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste.
  • Keep a wok, add 3 tbsp coconut oil, slice a small onion and fry till it turns golden brown.
  • Add the ground masala and fry well, add one cup masala water and salt to taste.
  • Give a good boil for 2 minutes, add the fish along with 3 tbsp coconut milk and once it boils, switch off the gas.
  • Serve hot with rice or panpales.
