Chicken Onion Masala Curry
Chicken curry made with grinding the basic onion masala along with chillies & other spices.

- 1 Kg Chicken
- 4 Tbsp Ghee
- Coriander (for garnish)
- Salt (as per taste)
For the masala:
- 10 Long Kumta red chillies
- 3 Medium sized Onions
- 1 tsp Jeera
- 10 Peppercorns
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 8 Garlic cloves
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 tsp Saunf/fennel seeds
- 1 Cardamom
- 1 inch Cinnamon
- 1 Marble sized tamarind
Clean and cut the chicken into curry pieces.
Grind the masala ingredients into a fine paste.
Keep a vessel, add 2 tbsp ghee and fry one small onion till golden brown.
Add the chicken and fry well. Sim the fire.
Keep a pan, add 2 tbsp ghee, add the masala and fry well.
Add the masala to the chicken and add one cup of masala water, salt to taste and cook the chicken well.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chapatis/ rotis/ sanna or neerdosa.
