Chicken Masala Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Chicken (Clean and cut into curry pieces)
  • 2 Onions (Sliced)
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • Few stems Coriander leaves (Chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tbsp Everest Kashmiri Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera powder
  • 5 Methi seeds
  • 5 Garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Pinch of Ajwain (Optional)
  • 1 lime or 1 tsp Vinegar or tamarind water
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala

Instructions
 

  • Keep a wok, heat the oil, add the chopped garlic cloves and fry till light brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a minute.
  • Add sliced onions, fry till light golden brown, simmer the flame and add chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, methi seeds, ajwain and fry for a minute.
  • Add chicken pieces, mix well and fry for 2 minutes, add salt to taste. Add coriander leaves.
  • Add 1/4 cup water and cook the chicken on a slow flame, Saute now and then.
  • Add lime juice or vinegar or tamarind water. Garnish with coriander leaves and 1 tsp ghee on top.
  • Serve hot with chapatis, rotis or Naan.
