Mother spin-off which the 20th TV first tried to launch with the CBS pilot How I Met Your Dad, written by HIMYM creators Carter Bays & Craig Thomas and Emily Spivey, the studio last season took a second thrust at the idea with This Is Us co-executive producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. But the duo’s busy schedule on This Is Us, where they were dedicated to executive producers, did not allow them to focus on How I Met Your Father which was to be developed internally and written at the studio.
And now, Alison Bennett has been tapped to write ‘How I Met Your Mother’ spin-off for 20th century TV. It’s been told that it incorporates some of Bennett’s personal experiences. She had been designated for the job as the 20th TV President of Creative Affairs Jonathan Davis stated” Alison’s work on ‘You’re the Worst’ has been incredible. She is completely original, hilariously funny and a big, big talent,” hence intuited that she might be perfect for it when they sat down with her after signing her into an overall deal. It is a brand new take on the premise with new characters and new writers: This Is Us co-executive producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The project hails from HIMYM studio 20th TV, where Aptaker and Berger are under an overall deal.
Just like How I Met your Dad, the new project named How I Met Your Father, is an ensemble show that tells the story from a female point of view whereas How I Met Your Mother was from a male’s point of view. It will be a brand-new take on the general concept of a young ensemble show revolving around a storytelling by a person, in this case a mother, telling the story of how she met her spouse.
The excitement is fluttering extensively among people while at the same time some people do not like the idea of the theme being repeated. Even though there are critics on this, HIMYM fans are eagerly waiting for the release of HIMYF and more than that for it to be successful.
