Chilli French Fries

Ingredients:
  1. Potato – 4 (Small size)
  2. Capsicum – 1
  3. Spring onions – 2 springs
  4. Ginger Garlic paste – ½ tbsp
  5. Corn flour – 1 tsp
  6. Red chilli sauce – 2 tbsp
  7. Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp
  8. Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
  9. Red chilli powder – 1/8 tsp
  10. Salt – ½ tsp + ½ tsp
  11. Oil – for deep frying + 3 tbsp




Method:
  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into long sticks (Width of your choice).  Chilli French Fries
  2. Wash the potato sticks under running water till clean. Drain all the water. Add ½ tsp salt, mix well and keep aside.
  3. Chop the capsicum and spring onions finely.
  4. In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp of corn flour with ½ cup of water and keep aside.
  5. Heat oil for deep frying. Fry the potato sticks till golden brown. Keep aside.
  6. In a non stick wok, add 3 tbsp of oil. Add in the chopped capsicum and ¾ the spring onion and sauté for about 2 minutes.
  7. Add the ginger garlic paste and mix well. Sauté for another minute.
  8. With the flame on low, add in the red chilli sauce, tomato sauce, soya sauce, red chilli powder and salt and mix well.
  9. With flame on high, add in the corn flour mixture and mix well till it thickens.
  10. Now add in the fried French fries and mix well.
  11. Serve hot, garnish with the remaining spring onions.
